Participants help with coral restoration at Zoe - A Living Sea Sculpture via hands on activities and presentations, including talks about coral biology given by the National Marine Park, visiting the turtle hatcheries and recycling/waste centers, discussing and learning about our impact and the major threats facing corals and efforts to mitigate the ongoing damage.
Students learn to dive and help with restoration first hand and do a beach clean up to experience the real life impact of garbage along the coastlines.
To receive their 100 hours of University Credit, they create individual videos to raise awareness and promote changes we can make towards zero waste and a healthy ocean where coral reefs can flourish.
